Introduction

Throughout my career I have worked in forensic settings, community mental health, and private practice. I have had the honor of working with individuals who present with serious mental health, trauma, sex addiction, sexual offending behaviors, betrayal trauma, grief, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. I believe in creating a safe environment to support clients in their journey toward improving their quality of life. I value a collaborative and individualized approach to treatment while being heavily influenced by a humanistic and psychodynamic approach. I believe each person has the ability to find wisdom, growth, healing, and fulfillment within themselves. We may just need some guidance and companionship on the journey. Dr. Melissa Korkes is a Licensed Psychologist who earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2019. I completed my post-doctoral residency at Psychological Counseling Services in Scottsdale, AZ. Melissa's office is located in the Arcadia area of Phoenix, AZ.
