Melissa holds a Master of Social Work degree from Capella University, a Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice) from Rutgers University, and is in progress of obtaining her LCADC certificate. Melissa has completed multiple trainings with Rutgers Children’s System of Care on a variety of subjects including but not limited to developmental stages and processes, mindfulness skills, and Child and Family Dynamics. Melissa utilizes a client centered, and eclectic approach to support clients through individually designed treatment plans. She has an ongoing strong interest in mental health and the helping fields. Since obtaining her License in Social Work, she has been working directly with clients, in an outpatient setting for over 5 years. Some of Melissa’s specialties include trauma/PTSD/CPTSD, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, LGBTQIA+, addictions, and more. Melissa has passed the examination and requirements to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in NJ.
