Hello, I'm Melissa (she/her)! I am fueled by the belief that every individual is worthy of love and connection exactly as they are. Supporting people in growing towards the most empowered, authentic, and aligned versions of themselves by letting go of expectations and old narratives to cultivate healing and new ways of being is something I am passionate about. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients of all ages, walking alongside them in their unique personal journeys. In 2018 I earned a MA in Art Therapy with an emphasis in Counseling and knew that I wanted to help people create more peaceful relationships with their bodies and food. During internship, I gained experience supporting clients in eating disorder treatment at EDCare Denver in their Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) levels of care. Most recently I have been a part of the team at Bloom Counseling and Nutrition working with clients in Outpatient (OP) eating disorder treatment here in our Fort Collins and Northern Colorado community. While specializing in working with eating disorders, I have also obtained experience in helping my clients to overcome anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, move through trauma, and build confidence through challenging life transitions. Our relationships with our bodies and food are complex! Through a curious, empathetic, and inclusive person-centered approach, I work to help my clients cultivate a deeper sense of self-worth
