Hi, I'm Melissa. Finding the right psychiatric provider is a personal decision. Whether you're exploring care for yourself or someone you love, I believe you deserve to feel heard, respected, and comfortable asking questions. I'm Melissa Slack, APRN, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander with 23 years of military service. My nursing experience across diverse clinical settings has shaped my compassionate, individualized approach to psychiatric care. My clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, ADHD, and sleep difficulties. I believe psychiatric care should look beyond symptoms to understand your experiences, concerns, and goals. Treatment may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy when appropriate, education, and practical strategies tailored to your needs. Medication isn't an automatic recommendation. I value thoughtful assessment, shared decision-making, and helping you understand your options. I'm preparing to offer psychiatric telehealth services for children, adolescents, and adults ages 10 and older in Idaho, Washington, and Arizona. Psychiatric appointment booking is temporarily unavailable, and availability will be announced as services become available. You don't need to have everything figured out to begin exploring your options. My hope is that you'll always feel informed, respected, and empowered in decisions about your well-being.
