Introduction

Hello, I'm Melissa Slack, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, retired U.S. Navy nurse, and founder of EVERVERA. I believe exceptional psychiatric care should feel personal, collaborative, and compassionate. Every person has a unique story, and meaningful care begins by understanding the whole individual—not just the symptoms. At EVERVERA, treatment is thoughtfully personalized to reflect your goals, values, strengths, preferences, and life experiences. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, evidence-based medication management, and ongoing telehealth psychiatric care for adolescents (ages 12+) and adults throughout North Carolina. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, stress, life transitions, sleep difficulties, and other emotional and behavioral concerns. As a retired U.S. Navy nurse with years of healthcare experience, I understand how important it is to feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to create a calm, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, actively participating in treatment, and making informed decisions about your care. At EVERVERA, medication management is more than prescribing medication. Care is provided through the EVERVERA Psychiatric Wellness Framework™, a personalized approach that combines evidence-based psychiatric medication management, patient education, and collaborative treatment planning. My goal is to help you better understand your mental health, feel confident in your treatment plan, and support your long-term emotional wellness. Following your initial evaluation, you may receive an EVERVERA Psychiatric Wellness Guide™ tailored to your diagnosis. These educational resources are designed to complement your psychiatric care by helping you better understand your condition, your prescribed treatment plan, medication management, healthy lifestyle practices, and practical strategies that support your mental wellness between appointments. They are provided for educational purposes only and are not a substitute for psychotherapy, individualized medical advice, or emergency services. For individuals seeking support beyond psychiatric medication management, EVERVERA also offers separate Life Coaching services focused on intentional living, personal growth, accountability, confidence, and life transitions. Herbal Wellness educational resources are also available to complement an overall healthy lifestyle. These services are optional, provided independently from psychiatric treatment, and are never required as part of your psychiatric care. Practice Information EVERVERA is a private-pay telehealth practice and does not participate with insurance plans. Payment is due at the time of service. For patients who wish to seek potential out-of-network reimbursement, a superbill is available upon request. Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance benefits and cannot be guaranteed. Whether you're beginning treatment for the first time, returning to care after time away, or searching for a provider who truly listens, I would be honored to partner with you as you work toward greater balance, resilience, confidence, and lasting emotional wellness.
