Introduction

As a faith-based counselor, I integrate both secular and Christian approaches, customizing my methods to meet your unique needs. One of my preferred questions for new clients is, “What will life look like when you come into my office and say, ‘Life is smooth, I’m succeeding, and I feel great?’” This inquiry establishes a meaningful framework for our collaboration, as my objective is not to have you in counseling indefinitely, but to equip you with valuable skills for your life’s toolbox. Together, we will lay the groundwork for lasting wholeness and fulfillment. I believe that everyone can benefit from having a therapist who supports and encourages them in life. I am passionate about understanding individuals as unique persons and emphasize that counseling is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ model. Actively listening to and genuinely hearing a client’s story is essential for effective counseling. I strive to meet clients where they are and guide them in exploring God’s redemptive love and grace in their lives. I am committed to providing compassionate and professional counseling, incorporating faith-based services. I believe that without Jesus, cycles of behavior and issues cannot be truly broken. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Counseling, a Bachelor of Science in Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science in Education, with minors in Old and New Testament studies from Lee University. Additionally, I obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University, with a minor in Marriage and Family Counseling. Currently, I am completing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, specializing in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling, as well as Trauma, Crisis, and Somatic Research at Walden University. I am scheduled to defend my dissertation in October 2026. I am an active member of several professional organizations, including: • American Counseling Association • American Association of Christian Counselors • Ohio Counseling Association I have been married to my husband, Stephen, for 19 years, and we are the proud parents of five biological daughters, as well as adopted daughters. This diverse parenting experience has deepened my understanding that effective parenting is tailored to each individual child, rather than adhering to a singular model. Together, Stephen and I serve as lead pastors at Faith Fellowship Church in Youngstown, Ohio, where I fulfill my calling in youth ministry. Prior to my role as a senior pastor, Stephen and I worked as youth pastors, both full-time for three years and part-time for five. As a dedicated counselor specializing in PTSD, trauma recovery, healing from sexual abuse, and family dynamics—including parenting and marriage—my commitment is to support you on your journey toward healing and wholeness. Through our collaboration, you can expect to experience increased emotional resilience, enhanced relationships, a sense of safety and control, and greater self-awareness. When reflecting on my strengths, I believe in embracing the imperfect moments of life rather than striving for unattainable perfection. Acknowledging our imperfections enriches our experiences and highlights our need for a Savior. My goal is to cultivate an atmosphere where clients feel safe, secure, loved, accepted, and free from judgment. Once this foundation is established, we can focus on the individual growth and healing each client seeks. By fostering an environment of acceptance and understanding, we empower clients to explore their challenges openly, develop resilience, and embrace their authentic selves, facilitating meaningful progress toward personal goals and enhancing overall well-being.
