Mellisa Hubbs, PLPC, brings nearly three decades of experience in education, child development, and counseling, along with a deeply rooted commitment to serving families in the community. Mellisa retired from the public school system after 29 years, where she worked as a substitute teacher, classroom teacher, and later as an elementary school counselor. Her extensive background supporting children and families in school settings has shaped her warm, client‑centered approach to therapy. Mellisa believes in meeting clients exactly where they are and feels every person’s story is unique, and their treatment plan should reflect their needs, strengths, and goals. While Mellisa has significant experience working with children, her clinical work also includes supporting couples, families, and adults. She is known for her compassionate presence, collaborative style, and ability to create a safe space for clients navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth. Outside of her professional life, Mellisa enjoys spending time with her growing family, which includes three adult sons, two daughters‑in‑law, and six grandchildren. She describes family time as one of her greatest joys and a grounding source of inspiration for her work.
