*Accepting New Clients* I work well with folks experiencing disordered eating or navigating eating disorder recovery and those with histories of trauma and sexual abuse. Many of my clients come to therapy searching for the "why": why they engage in certain behaviors, hold specific beliefs, or repeat the same relationship patterns over and over. Although there may not be a single “why,” exploring our pasts can help us understand our present-day behaviors, beliefs, and patterns. Oftentimes, it is this exploration and understanding that becomes a powerful catalyst for change. What can you expect from me as your therapist? Compassion. Curiosity. Humor. Tissues when needed. I may gently challenge you at times, but I will never push you beyond what you’re comfortable with. When we're together, there is no pressure to entertain me or present a certain way; I'm here for you, just as you are, in this moment. Although this journey is entirely your own, I'm here to support you along the way. My ultimate goal is for you to walk away from our sessions with compassion for your past self, a better understanding of your present self, and hope for your future self. I am so glad you’re here, and I look forward to our time together.
