Hello, my name is Melvetta, and I’m a Marriage and Family Counselor who believes that people deserve a space where they can be heard, understood, and supported without feeling judged. My passion is helping individuals, couples, and families work through the challenges that can sometimes make relationships feel overwhelming or disconnected. I completed my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Governors State University in 2026. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and young adults. My professional background has also given me experience supporting youth and families through difficult situations, transitions, behavioral concerns, and other life challenges. I have a special interest in working with couples and relationships, communication, family conflict, life transitions, emotional connection, self-esteem, anxiety, and finding healthier ways to navigate difficult situations. Most importantly, I want you to feel like you can be yourself in our counseling sessions. You do not have to have everything figured out before you come in. We can work through it together.
