Introduction

If you’re living with the heavy weight of past trauma, constantly feeling like you're disconnected or "checked out" from the present moment, you’re not alone. PTSD and dissociation can make it feel like your mind and body are at odds, leaving you stuck in memories or feelings you can’t escape. It might show up as flashbacks, feeling numb, or struggling to stay focused on the here and now. I’m here to help you rebuild your sense of safety, connection, and control. Together, we’ll work through the pain and the overwhelm, helping you feel more grounded, present, and in charge of your own life again. Healing is possible, and it starts with taking the first step toward understanding and working through what you’ve been carrying. You deserve to feel whole again. Meredith Yuhas Gawai is a compassionate and dedicated trauma-informed counselor, specializing in providing support to individuals 12 years old and up who have experienced various forms of trauma. Meredith is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and sees clients who have experienced developmental trauma, sexual trauma, medical trauma, traumatic grief, and secondary traumatic stress. She draws from a range of evidenced-based methods including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Movement Therapy (DMT). Meredith holds a “Love and Logic” parenting certificate to support families navigating difficulties with teens and adult children. She is a tricare approved provider.
