Introduction

As an empowered neurodivergent counselor, I am passionate about helping people; especially the silent sufferers. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have been practicing therapy in Kansas for over 10 years with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual, group, and family settings. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I practice with an eclectic style, meaning I will utilize different therapeutic modalities tailored to fit your needs such as Adlerian, person-centered, solution-focused, CBT, and DBT. I also utilize a trauma-informed approach with all clients. In addition to holding a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Emporia State University, I also hold a Master of Science in Art Therapy Counseling (also from ESU) and am trained to utilize art as therapy and to incorporate art into therapy. Further, I hold a Certificate in Play Therapy (from MidAmerica Nazarene University) and am working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist. I have experience working with the following: -Substance use disorders (SUD) -Anxiety disorders (e.g. GAD) -Depressive disorders (e.g. MDD) -Suicidal ideation -Self-harm -Trauma (e.g. complex, PTSD) -Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) -Eating disorders (e.g. anorexia, binge eating) -Physical and intellectual disabilities -Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) -Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) -Traumatic brain injuries (TBI) -Chronic pain -Addictions (e.g. porn, gambling) -Probation or parole -Bipolar disorders -BIPOC issues (e.g. racial injustice) -College student issues -Jail inmates -LGBTQIA2S+ (Prairie Bloom Counseling is affirming/ally) -Low-SES (e.g. unhoused) -Personality disorders (e.g. NPD, BPD) -Religious persecution/spiritual abuse -Survivors of physical, sexual, mental/emotional abuse (i.e., domestic violence) -Veterans issues -Women’s issues I understand that taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage, and I am here to support you in that journey.
