Introduction

Meredith Millward, LPCC, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care tailored to the unique needs of each client. She earned her Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University, where she also received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology with a minor focus in American Sign Language. Meredith has extensive experience providing community mental health and outpatient services to children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioral health concerns. She has a particular passion for helping adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges and create meaningful, lasting change, with areas of clinical focus including anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, self-esteem, adjustment concerns, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and family and relationship challenges. Meredith is trained in evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Meredith believes that effective counseling should provide more than a place to talk—it should give clients practical tools, greater self-understanding, and skills they can carry with them long after therapy ends. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to participate actively in their own healing. Meredith takes a collaborative approach to treatment, working alongside each client to identify meaningful goals and develop individualized strategies that fit their lives, strengths, and values. Whether helping someone recover from trauma, manage anxiety or depression, navigate family challenges, or build greater confidence and resilience, Meredith is dedicated to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care that helps clients overcome barriers, recognize their strengths, and move toward lasting emotional wellness and greater independence.
