Introduction

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) located in Chicago, IL. I received my Masters in Social Work (AM) from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Social and Cultural Psychology (MS) from the London School of Economics. I completed two honors Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Sociology at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. I've been working in the mental health field for almost a decade, including outpatient substance abuse clinics, nephrology social work, group psychotherapy practices, and trauma-informed yoga classes. I started my own practice in 2020 to provide tailor-made services to my clients. My favorite setting to work in is one-on-one with clients, where we can gossip (therapeutically, of course) and safely challenge you to change what isn't working and accept and integrate the not-so-fun things that are out of your control. I'm committed to empowering adults through mindfulness-based modalities, like Acceptance and Behavioral Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and individualized wellness and relationship coaching programs. Unlike some dry wellness settings, I emphasize authenticity and encourage sense of humor in our sessions to make clients feel comfortable being themselves. A good laugh at ourselves not only lightens the mood, but it can be a very powerful therapeutic tool. All of my services are inclusive to the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent communities. I strive to provide clients compassionate and non-judgmental care, however, I cannot speak for my one-eyed cat who will most definitely judge you during our sessions. My wellness services include: INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY SESSIONS One-on-one talk therapy sessions to process your emotions, build awareness of your cognitive and relational patterns, and learn ways to cope with emotional and relationship distress. For new clients with or without insurance seeking traditional therapy. WELLNESS COACHING Individualized mindfulness-based “life coaching” to build wellness routines, increase motivation, and create and meet goals in collaboration. A great fit for individuals without insurance or residing outside of Illinois who are looking for no BS advice on how to better their lives. RELATIONSHIP COACHING Not to be confused with couples therapy, relationship coaching is for an individual to take inventory of their relationships and increase their meaningful connections. This service is for people seeking help with dating, people in relationships, folks with changing relationships, or those grieving the loss of a relationship. This is open to any type of relationship: straight, queer, monogamous, polyamorous, ethnically non-monogamous and more. Relationship coaching is not covered by insurance and is out-of-pocket payment only. Inquire directly for sliding scale availability. CLINICAL SUPERVISION Whether you're a baby therapist or a fully-grown therapist, my clinical supervision is available to mental health practitioners in need of extra support. Topics of clinical supervision are tailored to your needs with no specific structure unless structure is what you need. We can discuss your cases, how to start your own practice, and work/life balance to name a few. As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), I am able to sign off on Illinois state paperwork for folks working toward their LCSW or LCPC hours. Supervision rates are out-of-pocket only. Inquire directly for sliding scale availability. To schedule a new client consultation or a professional collaboration with me, please request an appointment here or email me at info@stocktonwellness.com.
