Hi, I’m Merve! I’m a PhD candidate with a master’s degree from Northwestern University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work with women across all ages. Seasons of change can intensify symptoms of anxiety and depression and leaving us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Many of my clients come to therapy looking for relief, deeper self-understanding, healthier relationships, and a clearer sense of direction and purpose. My work is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and spiritually-integrated. I have had training in neurofeedback, biofeedback, and cognitive processing therapy, (the gold standard treatment for PTSD). My style is warm, collaborative, and relational. I will help you slow down, explore what has been weighing on you, and move toward meaningful and lasting growth. In addition to my work here at the clinic, I teach and supervise MA students in Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs across the country. I have the cutest canine therapy assistant. His name is Mylo Bear, and he is in training to be a certified service animal. If desired, with your consent, he can join us in our sessions. You can read more about him on his page! When not working, my husband and I love to take our kids and our puppy on fun travel adventures. That’s a little bit about me! If you think we might be a good fit for counseling, I encourage you to book an intake session!
