The deepest healing for the wounds of trauma, neglect, grief, oppression, and addiction lies in living fully in our hearts. This healing is rooted in a process of recovery–not from illness, but a recovery of ourselves, of our spirits, bodies, energy, trust. As a psychologist, practitioner of Chinese medicine, and master addiction counselor, it is my privilege to offer depth psychotherapy as a practice dedicated to the recovering heart. I draw on the work of CG Jung (Jungian psychology), existential and somatic psychotherapy, Buddhist and Daoist disciplines, shamanic and imaginal exploration, ancestral and past life dynamics, and subtle energy work, along with my intuitive insights and my personal experience of 37 years of addiction recovery. In addition to trauma and addiction recovery, I emphasize the dynamics of intergenerational (generational) trauma, and often work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, shame, relationship issues, chronic health concerns, concerns related to identity, meaning, purpose, and spirituality. I welcome anyone who feels aligned with my perspective, or that working with me might be a fit for their therapeutic needs. This often includes (but is not limited to!) people with a spiritual orientation and those exploring intuitive and paranormal phenomena. I especially appreciate working with people in long-term addiction recovery, those who identify as neurodiverse, and those seeking an unorthodox, off-the-beaten-path perspective or for whom more conventional approaches haven’t been as helpful as hoped. And I welcome psychotherapists, counselors, and healing arts practitioners of all sorts.
