My role as your therapist is simple: to meet you exactly where you are and walk alongside you on your wellness journey with genuine compassion, warmth, and supportive directness. With 30 years of experience serving as a hospital chaplain, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals, families, healthcare providers/employees through some of life’s most profound moments—from severe medical crises, illness, and trauma to grief, end-of-life care, and major life shifts. This background deeply informs my practice today. My passion is caring for people across all cultures, ethnicities, identities, beliefs, and relationship styles. Whether you are navigating mental health concerns, walking through a difficult transition, or exploring your spirituality, I am here to help you build resilience and find peace. How I Can Support You I offer compassionate care tailored to your unique needs, specializing in: Life Transitions & Stress: Navigating new life phases, caregiving, health worker stress, educational pressures, illness, or major career and relationship shifts. Grief, Loss & Trauma: Providing gentle space for bereavement, medical trauma, pediatric or pregnancy loss, and processing religious or spiritual trauma. Mental Health & Emotional Wellness: Managing anxiety, depression, and disruptive thoughts or behaviors through coping skills, emotional regulation, and value-focused action. Couples & Relationship Support: Premarital and relationship counseling as a trained Prepare & Enrich Facilitator, welcoming all relationship constellations and focusing on communication, attachment, and connection. Spiritually Integrated Therapy: Integrating your personal beliefs, values, and spiritual needs into your emotional healing journey. Beyond the Counseling Room At home, I’m supported by my wonderful family—my wife, our two adult children, and our beloved four-legged companions, Charlotte (a Greyhound) and Mabel (a Maine Coon mix). When I’m off the clock, you can usually find me spending quality time with friends, getting lost in a good medical mystery novel, enjoying the outdoors, listening to music, or exploring new foods as a self-proclaimed foodie on the hunt for great local eats. Practice Details & Getting Started I primarily offer Telehealth sessions, with limited In-Person appointments available. Availability: New client appointments begin October 1, 2026. Office Hours: Tuesday – Thursday, 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Session Fee: $180 for a 53-minute session. Payments are processed securely online through SimplePractice. Insurance: Listening Tree is an out-of-network provider. I am happy to provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider or Health Savings Account (HSA) for potential reimbursement. Ready to take the next step?
