Often we seek out therapy because we feel confused, ashamed, or powerless. We may question our values and wonder if we’re doing it all wrong, or even wonder about our inherent goodness (despite how intelligent, friendly, attractive, or accomplished we have been told we are). Don’t worry; this doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you. What it could mean is that a different approach or perspective is called for. I provide a calm, nonjudgmental space where every part of you is allowed. Clients often appreciate being able to share thoughts and feelings with me that they haven’t been able to anywhere else. This in itself can be a relief, and helps loosen the shame that grips all of us to one degree or another. I have also been studied astrology for many years, mainly in the tradition of Richard Tarnas’ Archetypal Astrology. I find it has a lot of useful interplay with psychology, though it may not be appropriate for every person or circumstance.
