I believe emotional regulation is a skillset, not a personality trait. Some people grow up learning it naturally, others don't, but that difference is not a flaw, its just a starting point. The good news is that skills can be learned, practiced, and strengthened. Anxiety, anger, addiction, self-condemnation, and relationship struggles do not come from "being broken", they come from patterns of thinking that became habits over time. My style is direct, practical, and collaborative. Therapy is not only about insight into how you got where you are, it is about learning and practicing tools to get you where you want to go. Sessions often include bibliotherapy, journaling, and real-world homework designed to build new cognitive habits between appointments, not just during them. I am trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques you can use in your daily life to regulate emotions, communicate more effectively, and respond instead of react.
