Introduction

Hey, I'm Mike. I'm a therapist. If you're here, you probably don't need me to tell you something feels off. You already know. You've known for a while. And something in you is ready for a different kind of conversation. You hold it together. That's what you do. At work, at home, in the moments when no one's watching. Maybe you're the one people come to. Maybe you're the one who never asks for help. Maybe you've gotten so good at performing, being fine, being strong, being whatever the hell the situation calls for, that you've lost track of what you actually feel underneath all of it. And somewhere beneath all of that, something keeps pulling at you. The compliment you smiled through but couldn't take in. The moment you got exactly what you wanted and felt nothing. The loneliness that doesn't make sense because your life is full of people. The exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix. The way you've been holding it all together was never the problem. It kept you going when you needed it to. But at some point it stopped being a choice and started being the only way you know how to exist. And that's a different kind of stuck. The anxiety that won't quiet down, the relationships that keep hitting the same wall, the weight of something old you can't quite name. It's all connected. You may have tried therapy before. It was fine. But you never quite got to the thing underneath. The thing you circle around but can't land on. Or maybe you've never been in therapy, but scrolling through the profiles, you don't know where to begin. They all start to sound the same after a while. You're not looking for someone to hand you a worksheet or teach you more breathing skills. You already know how to manage. You're tired of managing. I work differently. I've spent over fifteen years helping people navigate the harder inner landscapes, the ones many of us never had the capacity or relational safety to explore. I work with adults across Wisconsin who are thoughtful, driven, often carrying more than anyone around them realizes, and who sense that the answers they're looking for aren't on the surface. That's why I built Via Therapy. What I've learned is that people tend not to need more strategies. They need someone who gets it. Who can lean in with real curiosity and help them explore what they haven't yet been able to look at. I sit with you in the hard stuff. The things you've never said out loud. The things you've convinced yourself are too much for anyone to handle. I don't flinch. And I'm not here to analyze you or fix you. I'm here to move through it with you, slowly and safely, so you don't have to carry it alone anymore. Together, we pay attention to what you've been carrying. Old wounds. Unmet needs. The parts of yourself you learned to hide long before you had a choice. And because so much of what we carry lives in the body, not just the mind, I also use Brainspotting, a body-based approach that reaches what talk therapy alone can't. It's the kind of work where the patterns that have kept you stuck begin to loosen, and you start to recognize yourself again. I often hear from clients that therapy this time around feels different. When I hear a client respond with the word "exactly," that's when I know we're on the right track. I know you might be reading this and still not sure. Maybe you've talked yourself out of reaching out before. That's okay. That hesitation makes sense. But if even part of you recognizes yourself in these words, that part is worth listening to. Therapy can become a place to exhale, to feel met, and to slowly come back to yourself. When you're ready, I would be glad to meet you there. Questions about services, fees, or availability?
