I believe relationships and our willingness to connect with someone else on a deeper level and experience our pain with someone is at the core of helping people overcome their suffering. One of my primary tasks is to develop a healthy relationship and help someone feel heard and understood in therapy. I appreciate people sharing their stories with me so I can come alongside them in their journey toward understanding their emotions. All emotions serve a purpose, and once we realize what they are telling us, we can respond to them rather than react, allowing us to live a healthier life and focus on what we value.
