Hi, I’m Michaella, also known as Mika. So many of us learn to hide parts of ourselves to meet expectations or fit into spaces that don’t fully embrace who we are. Therapy should be the opposite: a place where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment. As a Hispanic therapist, I know how identity, culture, relationships, and family expectations shape the way we see ourselves and connect with others. I trust that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than telling you who to become, I work alongside you to understand your patterns, challenge shame, and figure out what growth and healing look like for you. I especially love working with neurodivergent folks, LGBTQIA+ people, and those exploring kink, polyamory, and ethical non-monogamy, including couples and multi-partner relationships. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I draw from TF-CBT, ACT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, shaping our work around your strengths, values, and goals. If you’re looking for a space to feel seen and accepted as you are, I’d love to connect.
