Trauma is an experience that lingers in the mind and body, no matter who you are or what you’ve been through. It can cause you to lose sight of who you are, what you deserve, and what you really want out of life—but it doesn’t have to define you, and healing is possible. In my work as a trauma-informed EMDR therapist in Los Angeles, I utilize clinically proven techniques to help clients process their pain on a deep level, helping you detach the ongoing effects of trauma from your everyday life and experiences—so that you can move forward as the person you want to be. EMDR therapy—Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing—is a powerful tool that allows us to access parts and processes within the brain that are nearly impossible to reach with normal talk therapy. So many of my clients are thoughtful, insightful people who are seeking change on a deep level and have found that they’ve reached the limits of what talk therapy practices like CBT and DBT can do for them. With EMDR, I help clients disentangle the binds left behind by trauma, allowing them to view and remember their experiences in ways that let them live life more freely and openly. I offer EMDR in person in Los Angeles as well as online in both California and Nevada.
