Welcome --we are glad you are here. Our mental health care is rooted in our shared backgrounds as mental health clinicians, mindfulness teachers, midwives, and nurses. We offer psychotherapy, medication prescribing, mindfulness teaching, and consultation. Midwifery was our first career and thus we integrate the “Hallmarks of Midwifery” into everything we do. This means shared-decision making, person-centered care, the incorporation of integrative therapies, and the recognition of menarche, pregnancy, birth, and menopause as normal physiological and developmental processes. Because we have a special love for and expertise in caring for women, partners, and gender-diverse people during the perinatal time (including loss, infertility, adoption), this is typically the time in life that individuals start working with us. However, we are honored to care for adults throughout the life cycle and aim for continuity of care when possible. We are trained in mindfulness-based care, self-compassion, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). To midwife the moment is to help someone through whatever suffering or difficulty is happening right now. Whether it is intrusive thoughts, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar, disordered eating, parenting struggles, end-of-life issues, grief, stress, interpersonal conflict or something else, we hope to help and empower you through it to find connection, joy, and hope on the other side.
