Hi - I’m Mikayla, and I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable and overwhelming, and I deeply value the courage it takes to begin the healing process. My goal is to create a supportive, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to explore your experiences, emotions, relationships, and personal growth at your own pace. I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) and Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern (RMFTI) in the state of Florida. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University and continued on to complete my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rollins College, where I also completed specialized training in Family and Relationship Therapy. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families who are looking for support, healing, and a deeper understanding of themselves. I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, emotional regulation, and relationship difficulties. Together, we'll create a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and move toward meaningful change. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and free to be yourself. I draw from person-centered, narrative, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches to help you build coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion. I view therapy as a partnership. Together, we can explore the experiences that have shaped you, identify strengths that may have been overlooked, and create new pathways toward insight, healing, and fulfillment.
