Introduction

Hello, and welcome. My name is Milan Walker, and I am a dedicated social worker and mental health professional with over 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families facing a wide range of challenges. My passion for this work began through my experiences serving at-risk youth in residential treatment programs, group homes, foster care settings, schools, and community-based agencies. Throughout my career, I have been committed to helping individuals overcome adversity, build resilience, and reach their full potential. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, family conflict, behavioral challenges, foster care involvement, and emotional difficulties. I have extensive experience supporting individuals diagnosed with conditions such as ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Bipolar Disorder, and other emotional and behavioral disorders. I also have experience working with youth who have developmental delays, school-related concerns, and involvement with child welfare systems. My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, respect, and collaboration. I utilize evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and trauma-informed care, to help clients develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and achieve their personal goals. I believe that every individual possesses unique strengths and the ability to grow, heal, and thrive when provided with the right support and guidance. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting positive change. I look forward to helping you build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to overcome life's challenges and achieve your goals. "Healing begins when we feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward." – Milan Walker
