Introduction

Hey bestie, I’m Milton Sanchez, LCSW—also known online as @tokengaybestie on Instagram and TikTok. I’m a therapist, professional overthinking translator, and your Token Gay Bestie in clinical form. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, identity exploration, burnout, and all the messy parts of being human that you keep trying to “figure out on your own” at 2 a.m. My approach is real, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and trauma-informed care—with a healthy dose of humor and honesty. As an Indigenous clinician from Santo Domingo Pueblo, I also bring a culturally grounded lens to healing, with an emphasis on connection, resilience, and the stories we inherit and carry. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping you understand yourself, shift what’s not working, and build a life that actually feels like yours. We’ll work on skills, patterns, boundaries, and the stuff you keep “almost dealing with” but avoiding when life gets loud. If you’re ready to stop spiraling alone and start doing something different, I got you.
