“Thinking is the capital, Enterprise is the way, Hard Work is the solution.” - APJ Abdul Kalam Hi, my name is Mimi. I received my B.S. in Applied Organizational Behavior Psychology from Albright College and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University. I have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient behavioral health, substance abuse treatment centers, higher education, and private practice. I enjoy working with various populations in age, race, cultural experiences, and mental health needs. I thrive working with middle adolescents, young to middle-age adults, and college students. My professional experience is anchored in my passion for working with individuals from the BIPOC community. My therapeutic approach employs an eclectic counseling style, drawing from, Solution-Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness practices; to name a few. My areas of professional interest include race-based trauma, family systems, attachment theory, depression, anxiety, and adjustment to life changes. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience mental clarity. Achieving this state of mind takes time and effort. Ponder and Process Counseling Services, LLC allows clients to contemplate, analyze, and interpret their circumstances; leading to improvements in decision-making and enhanced mental well-being.
