Historically, humans thrived in close-knit communities, forming deep bonds and receiving diverse support. Today, life feels more isolating due to demanding jobs and scattered loved ones. Yet, our fundamental nature remains unchanged; we still yearn for meaningful connections, emotional support, and a deeper understanding of our human experience. As a therapist, I cannot replace your community, but together, we will create an intentional space to explore your relationships with yourself and the world, fostering self-awareness. We will seek the peace, freedom, and vitality that transform everyday living into a fulfilling choice. As an immigrant, Third Culture Kid (TCK), and former international student, I understand that each person’s identity and experiences are nuanced and multilayered. My careers as a journalist and teacher taught me that the narratives we choose or are given are key to understanding our experiences. These narratives may have helped you assimilate in a demanding world, but beneath the surface, there are parts of you longing to be acknowledged and embraced. I work with individuals and couples through life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, stress, anxiety, loneliness, grief, and loss. My style is relational, strength-focused, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed, influenced by psychodynamic theories, existential psychotherapy, Gestalt psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Whether you are in crisis or seeking a safe space to unload, experiment, and grow, I welcome you with open arms. It would be my privilege to walk this journey with you.
