Introduction

Hi! I’m Dr. Miranda Denison and I'm a licensed psychologist. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit in, struggled to connect with your culture or community, or kept things in until they finally spilled over, you’re in the right place. I work with adults and couples navigating identity questions, OCD, perfectionism, high expectations, relationship stress, and self-criticism. Together, we’ll work on quieting your inner critic, growing self-compassion, and building more connected, authentic relationships with yourself and others. Therapy with me is collaborative and real. I show up as a human first, psychologist second, and I believe the best progress happens when you feel safe, seen, and supported (a little humor doesn’t hurt, either). I’m especially passionate about supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, including those with multiracial or multicultural identities, who are carrying the weight of systemic stress, microaggressions, or feeling like they don’t belong. A little about me: I’m a biracial Midwesterner who loves traveling, learning about different cultures, cheering for Sporting KC, and spending time with my family, pets, and a good board game. I bring curiosity, care, and cultural humility into every session. I'm licensed to provide virtual therapy in 40+ PSYPACT® states and am considered out-of-network with all insurance plans. I can provide a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement. If you'd like to see if we’re a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. I’d love to connect.
