Miranda provides warm, collaborative therapy for adults and older adolescents who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure where to begin. She has a particular interest in working with veterans, service members, first responders, young adults, college students, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, academic stress, family concerns, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. As a U.S. Navy Reservist, Miranda brings firsthand familiarity with military culture and understands that asking for help can sometimes feel uncomfortable, especially for people who are used to pushing through stress on their own. She works to make therapy feel approachable, respectful, and conversational rather than overly clinical or rigid. Miranda primarily uses a person-centered and humanistic approach, while also incorporating CBT, DBT-informed skills, psychoeducation, emotional regulation strategies, and other techniques based on each client’s needs. She believes clients should have an active voice in their treatment and does not expect people to discuss difficult experiences before they feel ready. Her style is supportive, genuine, and flexible. Miranda may use humor when appropriate, help clients identify patterns that are contributing to current stress, and offer direct feedback when it can help someone move forward. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel understood as people, not defined by a diagnosis.
