Introduction

*Not taking clients until July 1st* Hi, I’m Miranda Mills, founder of Petal & Sage Counseling LLC. I created this practice to provide a safe, compassionate space where individuals, couples, and children can feel supported, understood, and empowered in their healing journey. I believe therapy should be both gentle and grounding—a place where clients can explore their stories, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. My passion for this work is rooted not only in my professional training, but also in personal experiences that have shaped my understanding of emotional pain, resilience, and healing. Having experienced challenges including anxiety, depression, financial hardship, difficult relationships, body image struggles, postpartum experiences, and the emotional weight that can come with life transitions and motherhood, I understand how isolating and overwhelming life can feel at times. These experiences have deepened my compassion and strengthened my desire to help others feel less alone in their struggles. My work is rooted in attachment-based care with a focus on emotional safety and authentic connection. I specialize in working with women, couples, and children ages 3–10 through a variety of therapeutic approaches. I am especially passionate about supporting clients through relationship challenges, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem concerns, women’s mental health experiences, and major life transitions. Petal & Sage Counseling was built on the belief that healing happens when people feel safe enough to be vulnerable while also supported enough to grow stronger. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where clients feel seen without judgment and encouraged to move toward healthier relationships, emotional balance, and deeper self-understanding. Whether I’m helping a child express emotions through play, supporting a couple in strengthening connection, or walking alongside an individual through personal growth, I strive to provide therapy that is compassionate, collaborative, and meaningful.
