Introduction

Navigating Motherhood, Loss, and Change If you feel stretched thin and unsure of who you are right now, you are not alone. Many women I support come to me feeling emotionally exhausted by the weight of what they’re carrying. You may be navigating the uncertainty of trying to conceive, the overwhelming emotions of pregnancy and postpartum, or the unique challenges of parenting young children and co-parenting. Perhaps you are grieving an infant loss that others don’t fully understand, trying to show up for your family while feeling completely depleted yourself. I’m Miriam Arthur, and I’m here to walk alongside you. With years of experience in hospitals, neonatal units, and schools, I am a licensed clinical social worker and an Infant Mental Health specialist. But beyond the credentials, I show up with care, curiosity, and a deep respect for your story. My approach is centered on your safety and connection. Healing isn’t something you have to do alone. I believe that true change happens through a trusting relationship where you feel completely safe to be yourself. To support this, I combine traditional talk therapy with EMDR—a gentle, effective way to help your mind and body process difficult or traumatic experiences without the pressure to “fix” everything right away. A space where you truly belong. As a Safe Zone Therapist,I am committed to providing an inclusive and affirming space for everyone. Regardless of your gender, sexuality, race, culture, or belief system, you are welcome exactly as you are. When you’re ready, I’m here. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, supported, and connected to yourself during this heavy season. If you’re looking for a therapist who understands the emotional complexity of this time, I invite you to reach out. Let’s see if walking this path together feels like the right fit for you.
