Introduction

Welcome! My name is Elizabeth Tate, MA, LPCC, LCMHCA. I see clients via telehealth in CO and NC. I believe the stories we love can help us heal from our real-life experiences. Stories of heroism, triumph over the odds, and simple survival remind us of our shared humanity and our resilience. Whether it’s a video game, a book, a movie, or a TV show, we can use those references in our talk therapy to understand and change your hero’s journey for the better. My theoretical orientation is based in psychodynamic counseling. This means I’m interested in how your life experiences have made you the person you are, and how we can heal the experiences that may have caused pain. I am passionate about providing culturally aware and responsive mental health services to a diverse clientele, including gender-affirming care.
