Hi, I’m Misuk (pronounced mee-sook), a licensed and board-certified art therapist. My approach integrates talk therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), art therapy, and mindfulness in a way that feels collaborative, grounded, and attuned to your pace. As an Asian American and first-generation immigrant woman, I bring both lived experience and clinical training to my work. I’m drawn to IFS because it invites us to understand the different parts of ourselves with curiosity rather than judgment. Instead of trying to fix or silence difficult thoughts or emotions, we learn to listen to them, build compassion, and reconnect with a more balanced core sense of who you are. Art therapy adds another meaningful layer to this process. Sometimes what we’re holding does not come out easily in words. Creating images can help externalize feelings, clarify patterns, and open space for insight in a way that feels more embodied and less overwhelming. Together, these approaches can deepen self-understanding, soften self-criticism, and support meaningful, lasting change.
