Hi, my name is Mitchell and I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. My therapeutic approach is systems-informed, culturally aware, LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming, sex-positive, kink & BDSM welcoming, trauma-informed, and client-centered. Throughout the therapeutic process, I strive to center your voice and honor your expertise in your own life. Together, we will explore the life you want to create and work collaboratively toward meaningful and sustainable growth. Authenticity, unconditional positive regard, and empathic understanding are foundational elements of a strong therapeutic relationship. I work to create a space where clients feel safe showing up fully as themselves while navigating life transitions, trauma, relationships, identity exploration, stress, anxiety, and interpersonal challenges. Prior to becoming a therapist, I've had diverse professional and life experiences—including work in the tech industry in Utah, local law enforcement in California, military service in Georgia, and studying abroad in the Netherlands. I also volunteered with a Utah community support organization serving survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. These experiences have shaped my deep appreciation for human resilience, cultural humility, and the importance of belonging and have further strengthened the trauma-informed and community-centered approach to care I use.
