Life doesn’t always unfold the way we planned. Whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one, navigating a divorce, recovering from trauma, or struggling to find yourself after a major life transition, you may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to go next. You don’t have to face it alone. I’m Mitchnida Clervil, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and first-generation Haitian immigrant. I work with adults ages 18 and older who are ready to invest in themselves and engage in the therapeutic process. I believe therapy is most effective when you feel ready for change and are looking for a space where you can be heard, supported, and challenged to grow. My specialty is helping individuals navigate grief, loss, and major life transitions. Grief can show up in many forms, not only after the death of a loved one, but also following divorce, relationship changes, retirement, health concerns, career shifts, infertility, or changes in identity. Together, we can make sense of what has been lost while creating space for what comes next. I also have extensive experience working with trauma, including trauma related to sexual violence, gun violence, childhood experiences, and other life-altering events. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and centered on helping you regain a sense of safety, empowerment, and control in your life. I proudly provide LGBTQIA+ affirming and sex-worker affirming care and strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where all individuals feel respected and valued. As a Haitian immigrant, I understand firsthand the challenges that can come with adjustment, cultural expectations, identity, and starting over in unfamiliar circumstances. These experiences have shaped my belief that healing happens when people feel truly seen and supported. My goal as a therapist is simple: to help you build the life you want for yourself. Whether you’re working through grief, healing from trauma, adjusting to change, or searching for greater meaning and fulfillment, we’ll work together to create a path forward that aligns with your values and goals. You have already taken the first step by considering therapy. When you’re ready, I’m here to walk alongside you.
