I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a unique professional journey that bridges decades of leadership in high-tech engineering and product management and a deep, lifelong commitment to human connection, growth, and service. A first-generation Indian immigrant, I hold a Master’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s in Business Management, and after a successful corporate career spanning more than 30 years, I made a purposeful transition into counseling to give back to the community in a more direct and meaningful way. Throughout my career—both corporate and clinical—I have been known as calm, empathetic, collaborative, deeply attentive, non-judgmental and authentic during all my interactions. I have a natural ability to build rapport across age groups and cultures, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. My worldview emphasizes acceptance, cognitive reframing, self-awareness, and finding meaning through life’s challenges rather than becoming defined by them. My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), with additional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am particularly passionate about working with couples navigating relationship distress, parents facing family and parenting challenges, and adolescents and young adults dealing with emotional, academic, and identity-related stressors. My therapeutic style is collaborative, culturally responsive, and strengths-based. My personal life strongly informs my clinical presence. I have been happily married for over 35 years and am a deeply engaged parent to two adult children who continue to seek my guidance and support. I also bring extensive experience working with youth and families through school-based counseling, mentoring, and community volunteering, and serving as a Big Brother mentor. I completed my practicum and internship working primarily with middle-school students and young adults and graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Palo Alto University’s MA program in Mental Health Counseling in August 2025. I am currently registered as an Associate with the BBS and remain committed to ongoing learning, supervision, and professional growth. I am honored to support clients through life transitions, emotional challenges, and relationship struggles, and I approach each therapeutic relationship with humility, care, and genuine curiosity.
