Introduction

With over 25 years of experience as a school psychologist and counselor in public schools, I've witnessed firsthand the complex social and emotional worlds children have to navigate. This background, combined with my work as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, equips me to support your child’s social and emotional well-being and individual learning needs. My approach to therapy is relaxed, genuine, and collaborative. I believe in celebrating the unique way your child's brain works. Instead of focusing on deficits, we'll discover and build upon their inherent strengths. For many children, this doesn't look like traditional "talk therapy." My office is a sensory-friendly space designed for play, creativity, and movement. We'll use expressive arts and play-based methods that allow your child to explore their feelings, heal, and grow in a way that feels natural to them. In my work with adolescents, I emphasize value-based living. I integrate psychoeducation with motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral approaches to support their personal growth and mental well-being. Together, we can help your child learn to manage big emotions, develop effective coping strategies, and build self-confidence.
