I believe people heal through being in relationship. These relationships include with therapist, with self, a partner, with your emotions, and also with family, and friends. My work is grounded in person-centered therapy and informed by attachment theory and trauma research. I integrate approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, expressive therapies, and practical coping and communication skills, but my primary intervention is the therapeutic relationship itself. I believe that when clients experience emotional safety and deep understanding, they become more capable of regulating their nervous system, making sense of their experiences, and developing new ways of responding to life's challenges.
