Introduction

Are you noticing patterns in your relationships or self-image that no longer serve you? I'm Molly Seifert, a counseling intern pursuing my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University, specializing in couples therapy, sex therapy, and body image concerns. I help individuals and partners navigate intimacy challenges, communication difficulties, relationship stress, and struggles with self-worth. With more than eight years of experience in healthcare and wellness, I bring a deep appreciation for how physical, emotional, and sexual wellbeing intertwine — and for the power of human connection in the healing process. Before entering the counseling field, I worked as an athletic trainer supporting high school, collegiate, and workplace populations. In those roles, I quickly learned that caring for someone's physical injury often opened the door to conversations about life stressors, relationships, and personal challenges. Those experiences sparked my interest in the deeper emotional and relational work that therapy provides. I later founded my own wellness coaching practice, where I worked with individuals on body image, intuitive eating, and self-confidence. Through this work, I saw how many struggles with food, self-worth, and behavior patterns are connected to past experiences, relationships, and unresolved emotional pain — a realization that ultimately led me to pursue formal training as a therapist. I approach our work with curiosity, compassion, and a belief that meaningful, lasting change happens within a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore vulnerable topics, build insight, and create more fulfilling connections with yourself and others.
