Hi! I received my Masters of Social Work through Boise State University in 2018 and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I have an undergraduate degree in Disability Studies, Art, and Spanish through the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I have additional specialized training in play therapy and parts therapy as related to Internal Family Systems (IFS). I have worked for 20 years in social services, beginning by supporting children and families impacted by disability and mental health. My professional work included both providing direct care to individuals in school and community settings, as well as case management to support clients in managing and accessing services as related to disability and mental health. As a result, I have a good understanding of working from a systemic approach, and can support clients in understanding how to navigate our complex medical, educational, and mental health systems. Since 2019, I have provided clinical services to children, young adults, and families who are impacted by trauma and looking to effectively collaborate and manage their mental health. Additionally, I have a passion for wild spaces and outdoor education. I have guided youth and families in outdoor wilderness areas both formally and informally since 2013, after completing outdoor education and leadership training through North Carolina Outward Bound. I believe in a holistic and strengths based approach, using a variety of modalities to support the individual or family in their therapeutic work. We will collaborate and partner together to achieve your mental health goals. I utilize Play Therapy, parts work, as related to Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal Neurobiology, narrative therapy, mindfulness based practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and systems theory to inform my practice.
