I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with close to three years of experience working in psychiatric outpatient settings, including providing care through telehealth and community clinics. I bring extensive experience in the mental health field, supported by a strong clinical foundation developed across diverse healthcare settings. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I worked as a Registered Nurse in acute inpatient psychiatric units, detoxification and rehabilitation programs, and crisis response centers throughout the Philadelphia area. These experiences provided me with in-depth exposure to a wide range of psychiatric conditions and levels of acuity, strengthening my ability to assess, stabilize, and support individuals during some of their most vulnerable moments. This background has been instrumental in shaping my clinical approach as a PMHNP, allowing me to deliver compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care across the continuum of mental health treatment. In addition to my healthcare experience, my military service has significantly shaped the quality of care I provide. As a veteran, I understand the importance of resilience, discipline, integrity, and service to others. My military background has enhanced my ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and approach complex situations with empathy and professionalism. It has also given me a deeper appreciation for the unique mental health challenges faced by veterans, service members, first responders, and individuals navigating high-stress environments. By combining my clinical expertise with the values and experiences gained through military service, I strive to provide patient-centered psychiatric care that is compassionate, culturally sensitive, and focused on helping individuals achieve lasting mental wellness and improved quality of life.
