Introduction

About Monica I'm Monica, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Educator serving Georgia. With 20 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor and over 25 years in education, I bring deep experience and understanding to every therapeutic relationship. As a third-generation graduate of Alabama A&M University, I earned my undergraduate degree in Special Education in 1999, followed by both my master's and specialist degrees in Counseling from Florida State University in 2002. Do You Live With... - Emotional or physical trauma that won't let go? - Chronic illness or chronic pain that feels overwhelming? - A sense that your life is spiraling out of control? I understand how difficult it can be when life isn't unfolding as you planned. You may feel frozen in physical and emotional pain that persists even when there's no clear reason it should still be there. Perhaps you can't stop thinking about what happened, no matter how hard you try, and you worry about how you'll show up in your own life if this pain lasts forever. If any of this resonates with you, we may be a perfect fit. My Approach I specialize in helping people navigate these exact challenges. My therapeutic approach thoughtfully combines: Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TI-CBT)- addressing how trauma affects thoughts, feelings, and behaviors Solution Focused Therapy- building on your existing strengths to create positive change Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)- a proven method for healing from distressing life experiences My Ouch Couch method- therapeutic storytelling to support your unique healing journey Your Healing Journey You deserve to live a good life and don't have to feel this way anymore. My therapy sessions are designed to create a safe space where we work together as a team, helping you reach a place of peace more effectively than you could alone. I'll support you in developing practical skills that empower you on your journey toward healing and wholeness. The first step toward becoming your "best self" is scheduling an appointment today. Let me help restore your sense of power by supporting your healing from within, using evidence-based treatment methods infused with genuine care and understanding. Ready to Take the First Step?
