Introduction

MONIQUE EDWARDS LPC EMDR Therapist I utilize an eclectic approach to help treat anxiety, PTSD and phobias, as well as everyday stressors and life transitions. EMDR is one of the therapies I use to help clients achieve their goals and form new positive beliefs and capabilities. I want to help you feel like you have control in your life. My goal as your therapist is to help you navigate your life and reach your goals. What is EFT? EFT stands for Emotionally Focused Therapy, a short-term, attachment-oriented psychotherapy for couples, families, and individuals to improve relationships by fostering emotional connection and understanding. What is EMDR? EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. Ongoing research supports positive clinical outcomes, showing EMDR therapy as a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences (Maxfield, 2019). Individual therapy is 53 min long and $190 per session. Initial diagnostic sessions are $250 (BCBS & BCN accepted for individual therapy) Looking for specialized supervision?
