Life can feel like a lot when you are trying to hold yourself together while also figuring yourself out. There can be this quiet pressure to get it right, to know who you are becoming, and to keep up with everything on the outside while navigating shifts internally. As a therapist, I care deeply about getting to know you, not just what you are going through, but who you are in the middle of it. That includes the messy, uncertain moments as much as the ones where things start to click. I am a client-centered, Black, queer therapist, and I approach our work collaboratively with empathy, curiosity, and real investment in your sense of self. I am committed to providing care that is trauma-informed and person-centered, while also creating a space that feels human. That means there is room for laughter, humor, and moments of lightness alongside the deeper work. Therapy does not have to feel stiff or overly serious to be meaningful. Together, we can explore your patterns, your relationships, and the ways your past and present experiences shape how you move through the world. We can also work toward expressing your needs more clearly, softening self-criticism, and building a sense of confidence in who you are and who you are becoming. I treat clients navigating life transitions, self-esteem challenges, career stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I support clients who are BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ whose identities are integral to their lived experience and mental health, as well as pre-teens and teenagers who are exploring their sense of self and making meaning of the world around them. Seeking support can be one of the hardest steps, and also one of the most meaningful. I welcome you to reach out so we can explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
