Introduction

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to help people. Growing up, I wasn’t really sure how that would look professionally. I come from a small town where no one really talked about their feelings, and therapy just wasn’t something people brought up. I’m so grateful that over the years, the stigma around mental health has faded. That shift led me to the world of social work and, eventually, to becoming a therapist. Seeking therapy for myself also played a huge role. I experienced firsthand how life-changing it can be to feel heard, understood, and supported, and I knew I wanted to offer that to others. I envision our journeys of healing and growth like a staircase, and the first step on that staircase is reaching out for help. If you’re reading this then you’re already on your journey, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve been a licensed social worker since 2015 and became an LICSW in 2021. My career has taken me through some incredibly meaningful work: supporting children and teens in therapeutic foster care, coordinating care for people with chronic health and mental health conditions, and working with veterans at the VA, where I focused on oncology social work and integrated case management. Each experience has deepened my appreciation for how powerful it can be to have someone in your corner. My therapy style is relaxed, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk beside you - offering support, tools, and encouragement as you navigate whatever it is you’re facing. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and I’m especially passionate about supporting people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, or big life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can show up as you are, and we can work together to help you move toward the life you want.
