Introduction

Hello and welcome! I’m Tyler Taylor, MSW, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia. I truly enjoy supporting individuals through healing, growth, and meaningful change. My work is centered on honoring each person’s unique story, strengths, and lived experience. I provide ADHD Diagnostic Assessments for children, adolescents, and adults ages 10 and up. These assessments are comprehensive and collaborative, and may include clinical interviews, standardized assessment measures, and a thoughtful review of developmental, academic, and psychosocial history. When appropriate, I work closely with families, schools, medical providers, and other professionals to support accurate diagnosis and continuity of care. In addition to assessment services, I provide outpatient therapy for adults ages 18–65. My primary focus areas include anxiety, depression, stress management, self-esteem and relationship concerns. I take an individualized, collaborative approach to both therapy and assessment. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic, and trauma-informed techniques. My work is grounded in a strength-based, person-centered, and biopsychosocial-spiritual framework, allowing care to feel supportive, comprehensive, and tailored to your needs rather than focused solely on diagnosis. In addition to my clinical work, I offer professional consultation and support services for psychotherapists and mental health professionals. I also facilitate support groups for clinicians who have completed, or are completing, graduate-level training in the mental health field. These spaces are designed to provide thoughtful consultation, reflection, professional development, and support while navigating the personal and professional demands of therapeutic work. Creativity and collaboration are important parts of my clinical work. When appropriate, I incorporate expressive and creative techniques into sessions. I also value working alongside other providers involved in your care to promote thoughtful, holistic, and effective treatment outcomes. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. Clients often describe me as warm, empathetic, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a safe, affirming space where you can show up as your authentic self, without fear of judgment. Therapy is most effective when clients are active participants in their own growth, and I work best with individuals who are open, engaged, and willing to reflect, practice new skills, and collaborate in the change process. Together, we explore experiences, navigate challenges, and work toward building a more empowered, meaningful, and healthy life narrative. Honesty, dignity, and mutual respect guide every interaction. I deeply value the sacredness of each person’s journey. Whether you’re seeking support for healing, growth, or personal transformation, I’m here to walk alongside you. I welcome sessions in person or via secure telehealth. I’m really glad you’re here, and I look forward to supporting you!
