I am Carlaina Sutton, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Texas, supervised by Alice Kelly, LMFT S (#203732). I care deeply about being present for those who need support, and I believe wholeheartedly that healing, growth, and meaningful change are within reach for everyone. My passion is my purpose, and I am committed to offering care that is warm, compassionate, and grounded in genuine connection. Together, we will dig deep, uncover your inner strength, and help you journey beyond past hurt, pain, and trauma. My approach is collaborative and holistic. Every client is welcomed with professionalism, curiosity, understanding, and kindness. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Supporting clients across many life stages has allowed me to help people regain their sense of self and direction during difficult seasons—whether navigating stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, depression, grief and loss, behavioral concerns, trauma, life transitions, addiction, or emotional/verbal abuse. I’m currently becoming EMDR trained so I can offer deeper support to clients who are ready to gently process long held trauma and move beyond painful memories, intrusive flashbacks, and emotional distress. My goal is to help each person step into healing with compassion, safety, and hope. No matter your reason for seeking therapy, I provide an unbiased, safe space where you can release what no longer serves you and begin setting yourself free. I take pride in creating an environment where you feel empowered, respected, and truly heard. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and pets, reading, and shopping. These moments of self care help me stay grounded, recharged, and fully present—so I can show up as my best self for all of you.
