Hello, my name is Nadia Asbahi, I am a limited licensed therapist. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan, with a specialization in Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in cultural humility. I believe that individuals are the experts of their own lives, and I value working alongside clients as a team to build insight, resilience, and meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space that allows clients to feel supported, seen, and comfortable being vulnerable. I take a holistic view of each person, recognizing how identities, family systems, environments, and broader institutions all shape our daily experiences and mental health. My professional background includes working with diverse populations and communities, and specialized training in school social work, trauma-informed care, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. As someone from a Middle Eastern/islamic background who grew up in a Western society, I bring both lived experience and cultural awareness into my work. My style is gentle yet direct when needed to promote growth and clarity, and always centered on honoring the whole person. Seeking support is a brave and meaningful step. I aim to meet clients where they are, empower them in their healing process, and walk alongside them as they move toward greater balance, understanding, and well-being.
