My name is Naree Thao, and I am the founder of Untangled Minds, LLC, a counseling practice offering therapy across Wisconsin. I provide a warm, compassionate space for individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and the many emotional shifts that come with motherhood and identity. As a bilingual and bicultural therapist and first-generation Hmong woman, I understand how culture, family expectations, and generational experiences shape how we carry stress, trauma, and healing. My goal is to provide culturally responsive therapy where you feel understood, respected, and safe to explore your story. I earned my master’s degree in counseling from Marquette University and bring over a decade of experience working in mental health, including youth outreach, crisis intervention, and community-based therapy. These experiences allow me to support clients through both everyday challenges and more complex emotional experiences. At Untangled Minds, I believe many of life’s struggles feel tangled because we’ve never had a space to slow down and truly make sense of them. In therapy, we work together to bring awareness to the thoughts, emotions, and experiences shaping your life so you can begin to find clarity, healing, and balance. I am especially passionate about maternal mental health and supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the identity shifts that come with motherhood. If you are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or unsure of yourself during this season of life, you do not have to carry it alone. Through telehealth, I provide therapy to clients throughout Wisconsin, making it easier to access support wherever you are. If you are ready to begin untangling what feels heavy or confusing, I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
